1987 - Bolton Wanderers scored in injury time to draw 2-2 with Middlesbrough, and extend their unbeaten run to 13 games at home to the Boro, since a 1-0 defeat in April '87.

2009 - Blackburn Rovers won 2-1 away at Leeds United to record back-to-back away wins for the first time since March 2009, when they beat Hull and Fulham in the Premier League.

30,145 - The highest attendance in The Football League on New Year's Day was at Elland Road, where 30,145 people watched Blackburn Rovers beat Leeds United 2-1.
