Goalkeeper: Jack Butland (Leeds United)

The Stoke City goalkeeper impressed in his first appearance of his loan spell at Leeds, keeping Middlesbrough at bay to earn a point in a 0-0 draw. Manager Brian McDermott described his performance as 'outstanding'.

Defender: Harry Maguire (Sheffield United)

Maguire played a significant role in Sheffield United's two wins during the week, with the Blades keeping a clean sheet in both matches, against Gillingham and Bristol City. The strong defender also got an assist, flicking the ball on for John Brayford to score in Saturday's game against the Robins.

Defender: Carl McHugh (Bradford City)

The Irishman scored a last-gasp winner in Bradford's midweek victory against Port Vale, which was their first three-pointer in 14 outings, before playing a key role in their 1-0 success against Milton Keynes Dons.

Defender: Zander Diamond (Northampton Town)

The latest addition to Chris Wilder's Northampton squad got off to a good start at the club as he put in a fine defensive display in their 2-0 win against Hartlepool United on Saturday. That was the Cobblers' first home victory since November and their first clean sheet in seven outings.

Midfielder: James McArthur (Wigan Athletic)

It was a productive week for Uwe Rosler's Latics as they registered two wins in two. Midfielder McArthur played a key part in both and he netted a fantastic solo effort to set Wigan on their way to three points at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Midfielder: Jon Taylor (Shrewsbury Town)

Midfield livewire Taylor bagged a brace for the Shrews in their thrilling 3-2 success against Notts County. Mike Jackson's men fell 2-0 behind but they fought back to win 3-2, with Taylor instrumental.

Midfielder: Michael Jacobs (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Wolves ended Brentford's 19-match unbeaten run and that result was largely down to midfielder Jacobs, who grabbed a brace at Griffin Park.

Midfielder: Dave Syers (Scunthorpe United)

The former Doncaster Rovers man scored his first career hat-trick in the Iron's 5-1 thumping of Portsmouth at Glanford Park.

Striker: Sam Vokes (Burnley)

The front man scored twice for the Clarets - his 17th and 18th of the season- as they ended Nottingham Forest's 14-match unbeaten record with a 3-1 triumph.

Striker: Matt Tubbs (Crawley Town)

Tubbs netted two goals at Walsall to help his side to three points. His first came from the penalty spot, while his second was a close-range finish from a delightful Billy Clarke cross.

Striker: Lee Novak (Birmingham City)

A Lee Novak double secured Birmingham a 2-1 win at Blackpool. Trailing 1-0 going into the second half, Novak drove home from the edge of the area to equalise before heading the winner in the 82nd minute.

Manager: Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers)

Ainsworth guided his struggling Chairboys side to a narrow 1-0 success against Sky Bet League 2 table-toppers Chesterfield - their first victory in nine matches.
