John Still has a reputation for bringing talented semi-professionals into The Football League and he has given Ricky Miller a chance at Luton Town after the striker top-scored for Boston United in the Conference North last term.
Miller will be worth keeping an eye on to see if he can adjust to life in Sky Bet League 2, after netting 28 goals for the Pilgrims in 2013/14 to be named the Conference North Player of the Year.
When he signed for Luton, Still compared the 25-year-old front man to Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips and current Brighton and Hove Albion striker Craig Mackail-Smith. If the former Stamford player can live up to those comparisons he will be a great asset for Luton, particularly after the sale of their 2013/14 top scorer Andre Gray to Brentford.
Miller sent out a statement of intent when signing, after he told Hatters Player: "I'm not just here to make up the numbers, it's my aim to break into the team. I've worked hard for this chance and I intend to take it."
