Burnley have won the Press Association Sport Best Matchday Programme award at the 2009 Football League Awards, incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.
The club received the award at a gala dinner at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Sunday evening in front of more than 800 attendees from clubs, sponsors and the football industry.
With their 'Claret and You' matchday programme, Burnley provide their fans with a publication that is classy in appearance and design, but with outstanding content to match. The design serves to give it more of a magazine feel, rather than traditional programmes, with the new squarer size enabling better use of photographs and ease of reading for fans. The content includes exclusive features from the dressing room and boardroom - with an eight-page feature in each edition - and a whole host of national journalists happy to contribute to columns in the programme free of charge.
The judging panel commented that Burnley's programme is "a top quality product, from the front cover right the way through to the last page. The changes the club have made have resulted in a real improvement this season, and as a result it delivers outstanding value for fans."
