Knife crime was on the agenda at a seminar held by Leyton Orient's Community Sports Programme (LOCSP).
The recently-crowned League 1 Community Club of the Year hosted the workshop for 20 youngsters in Hackney, East London.
The group was made up of mainly boys living on the Fellows Court Estate, which has seen severe problems with knife crime in recent months.
LOCSP officer Yassin Abidou arranged the event with Kickz co-ordinator Bob Goldsmith.
The youngsters were shown pictures of stabbing victims to emphasise how knife crime can ruin lives.
Abidou said: "Unfortunately, there has been a high number of young knife crime victims in London in recent years.
"Workshops like these are fundamental to educating children about the issues of knives and knife crime.
"It is important to discuss, listen, and understand how young people feel about knives.
"Everyone took a keen interest as the issues discussed may directly relate to their day-to-day lives."
Trust Regional Manager Greg Baker said: "We're right behind the knife crime work that LOCSP is doing in East London boroughs.
"Youngsters will get a great deal of benefit from the work that Yassin and the club's Community team are doing to address this enormously important issue."
