There were plenty of smiles at Sheffield United's end-of-season Community Day - despite the rain!

Bramall Lane played host to live music, sports, drama performances and a variety of kids' activities.

Indie band Craine wowed the crowds before youngsters got the chance to shoot hoops with the Sheffield Sharks basketball team.

Gym Plus and Burkey's Gym members performed a fitness and boxing routine.

There were workshops and stalls hosted by South Yorkshire Police and the Fire Service

Head of Community for the United Initiative Sue Beeley said: "It was a brilliant turnout, even though the weather wasn't great.

"Everyone had a great time. Craine were a massive hit with the kids!"

The day finished with an exhibition game between Sharrow United and Sheffield FC.

Blades' legends Brian Deane and Bob Booker made guest appearances as Sheffield FC edged their way to a 4-3 win.

Football League Trust Regional Manager Angus Martin said: "It looks like Sheffield United kicked off their summer programme in style.

"Clubs across the region will be holding various Community activities over the coming months. Let's just hope the weather improves!"
