The Northampton Town first team visited children at Greenfields Special School and Sports College over the Christmas period to take part in a sing-song with a difference.

Greenfields is attended by pupils aged 11 to 17 who suffer from physical and mental disabilities.

After spending time in each classroom working with the children, the Cobblers' players returned to the school hall for a special Christmas carol.

Greenfields' pupils then took the lead and helped the players through a sign-language version of Silent Night.

Northampton Town spokesman Gareth Willsher said: "None of the players knew any sign-language, but thankfully the children did a great job of leading the way!

"We have visited Greenfields before and always have a great time with the kids and teachers.

"The players all really enjoyed the visit and we look forward to seeing the youngsters again soon."

Bookers Cash & Carry, Ten-Pin and Wicksteed Park supported the Cobblers with this visit.
