Riana Soobadoo, Barnet Ladies 17-year-old midfielder, has won the prestigious Young Female Sports Personality Award of the Year at the British Asian Sports Awards.
In its tenth year, The British Asian Sports Awards showcases the sporting talent that exists with the UK's Asian community and is attended by some of the biggest names in sport, music and television - including this year, boxing sensation Amir Khan.
Riana clinched the public vote for the award which encourages and promotes young Asian women in sport who have show great determination and exceptional potential to succeed.
Graham Slyper, the Barnet director responsible for the Ladies, said: "We are proud that a young member of our squad has been honoured in following in the footsteps of sporting celebrities such as Amir Khan and Mark Ramprakash in winning his prestigious award. This shows our continuing rapport with the community."
The award comes as a double header of good news for Riana who was part of the Ladies team that beat West Ham United to reach the quarter finals of The FA Women's Cup.
