A school has turned a spare room into a gym - decorated with Notts County memorabilia - following the success of a Community programme run by the club.

Pupils from Nethergate School in Nottingham joined the Magpies' fortnightly sessions to help develop their interest and attitude towards physical activity and social inclusion.

As a result of the sessions the school decided to fit out the room with gym equipment to use during PE lessons.

Some of the Nethergate pupils have now been selected to train with the Disability Development Centre at the club.

Head Teacher Tracey Ydlibi said: "The partnership with Notts County has had a huge impact on our pupils.

"Their attitudes and understanding of the healthy benefits of physical activity and nutrition can be seen on a daily basis."

To round off the last 18 months of activity, the 10 to 15-year-old students visited Meadow Lane for a behind the scenes tour of the stadium, before getting their hands on the League 2 Trophy!
