Over 85 children last week met their Watford playing heroes at the club's annual Community Trust bowling event.

John Eustace, Adrian Mariappa, Troy Deeney, Danny Graham, Lloyd Doyley, Jordan Mutch, Rene Gilmartin and Matt Whichelow were all on hand to show off their bowling skills and present each child with a goody bag at the end of the evening.

Harry Hornet also made an appearance in a full Santa outfit to join in the fun and help sing Happy Birthday to Jordan Mutch who gave up his birthday celebration to join the Watford fans.

Course organiser Paul King said: "The bowling night was a huge success and here at Watford it is vital that as Community Club of the Year 2010, we continue to work with our players to ensure they attend the children's events and are seen out and about in the community.

"The children here are our fans of the future and we work hard to make sure that they all get to meet their Watford heroes at some stage, whether that be within schools, holiday courses, Christmas events, social inclusion or at a disability session."
