Mike Evans has been appointed to the position of General Manager of The Football League Trust.
Evans, who is currently the Trust's National Project Manager, will take up the role from October and will be responsible for funding arrangements for Community and Youth Development across The Football League and its member clubs. Evans will succeed Dave Edmundson who retires at the end of September.
Since joining The Trust at its inception in 2007, Evans, 43, has led on The Trust's 'Future Jobs Fund' contract bringing £2.6 million in to the organisation and helping 400 long term unemployed young people find work.
Greg Clarke, Chairman of The Football League, said: "I am delighted to see Mike appointed to the position of General Manager of The Football League Trust.
"Mike is a highly motivated and passionate advocate of the important work done by the Trust and has a wealth of experience.
"After four successful years The Football League Trust is flourishing and I am confident Mike will continue to take it from strength to strength."
