Bury's first-team players have put their full support behind the Community Trust's new programme, 'Drop a shirt size', a new weight management programme aimed specifically at men, which starts a week today.

Players warmed up in new 'Drop a shirt size' t-shirts before the last home game against Southend United and also wore the t-shirts to a training session on Tuesday morning to reiterate their support.

'Drop a shirt size' will start on Wednesday 2nd October and will run out of the gym at Gigg Lane, which the first team use during the day. All participants will be encouraged to set goals to encourage weight loss and to maintain a healthy lifestyle, with participants rewarded when reaching their goals by being presented with a new Bury shirt in a smaller size.

Staff from the Community Trust will be on hand during the sessions, which will run from 5pm-8pm to help develop individual fitness programmes for participants. Staff members will also be assisted by the Bury public health trainers and qualified nutritionists.

Places on the new programme are limited and need to be booked in advance. If you would like to book your place, please call Jo or Lucy from the Trust's health team on 08444 875 333.
