Tune in to Soccer AM on Saturday to watch not only the highlights of this week's games in the quarter-finals of the Soccer AM Futsal Cup, powered by NCS, but also the semi-final draw.

We now know that the competition winners will come from either the North Midlands Division or the North East Division with Notts County, Derby County, Leeds United and Grimsby Town all making it through to the final four.

Leeds United were the first side through to the semis although they didn't make things easy for themselves against Cardiff City. Having established an early two-goal lead, by half time Cardiff had fought back to level the scores. However, Leeds proved the more clinical of the two sides in the second period and finished the game as 5-2 winners.

Just as they did in the previous round against Crystal Palace, Grimsby Town had to recover from going behind early on against Huddersfield Town. Having equalised towards the end of the first half, the Mariners took their chances in the second and secured a 5-1 victory.

Next up were Carlisle United and Notts County and it was the Magpies who started the brighter of the two, taking a very early lead. The Cumbrians levelled matters on the stroke of half time but County finished the stronger of the two sides and claimed a 4-1 win.

Swindon Town and Derby County brought their curtain down on the quarter-finals in a game that was played at a frantic pace. After the Rams took a two-goal lead midway through the first half, Swindon pulled one back to suggest a comeback may be on the cards. A strong second-half performance from Derby brought them a 5-1 victory and a place in the semi-finals.

Soccer AM Futsal Cup powered by NCS is comprised of student-players participating in The Football League Trust Education & Futsal programme.

The programme provides 16 to 18-year-olds with the chance to score both on and off the pitch, as they study towards a BTEC Diploma in Sport with their local professional clubs' community scheme.

Graduates of the programme often progress to University, overseas football scholarships and careers within the vibrant sports industry. Football lovers moving into sixth-form education are encouraged to apply, as places start to fill up for next season at over 50 clubs across the country.
