The Football League has today issued its Invitation to Tender for domestic broadcast rights from the 2012/13 season onwards.
With its unique connection to football supporters and local communities throughout England and Wales, The Football League is at the very heart of the domestic game.
An increasingly recognised role as the breeding ground for English playing and managerial talent ensures that The Football League remains a hugely important national institution.
Ranging from live transmissions to mobile and internet clip rights, the Invitation to Tender gives broadcasters a unique platform to acquire rights across all League Competitions.
Last season, the total cumulative domestic television audiences for the 2009/10 season was 48.4 million whilst the 2010 Carling Cup Final and the terrestrial Manchester semi-final were the two most watched domestic games on television during the 2009/10 season.
