The Football League has launched a new Official Soccer Schools website in association with Beko Mums United.

The innovative new website makes it easy for mums and dads to find and book holiday and term-time sports activities for their kids. Courses will be held at local Football League clubs across the country.

To register visit www.OfficialSoccerSchools.co.uk.

Courses at the 17 participating Football League clubs begin this October half-term and are all safe, fun and run by FA qualified coaches.

Alan Curbishley, Official Soccer Schools Ambassador, said: "I am delighted to be the ambassador of The Football League's Official Soccer Schools website. Many youngsters begin their love of football at Soccer Schools and they provide the perfect environment for children to hone their skills and meet new friends.

"I would encourage mums and dads to take a look at the activities on offer at Football League clubs via OfficialSoccerSchools.co.uk to see how their kids can get involved this half-term."

Kirsty Gallacher, Beko Mum's United Ambassador, said, "Keeping kids active during half term holidays is vital. I know firsthand the benefits of playing sport as a child and the Official Soccer Schools will provide a fun and safe environment for all kids to do just that."

Beko has launched a community facebook page called Mums United, which offers handy tips from Kirsty Gallacher on everything from improving your football knowledge and giving nutritional advice to ideas on keeping your children amused during the holidays.

Kirsty Gallacher, is backing Beko Mums United following a nationwide survey of mums that revealed that 68% wanted to get more involved in their child's sporting activities. Beko Mums United spoke to 900 mums about family time and found that 90% of Mums agreed that outdoor sports helped their child develop their communication and teambuilding skills.

This desire to get more involved in their child's sport has really played a huge role in the look, feel and content of the facebook page. Over a fifth of Mums were interested in learning more about football jargon, and over a third were interested in getting ideas on nutritional tips for their children.

Beko is also offering mums the chance to win some fantastic prizes for their children. By sharing stories of why they believe their child deserves a helping hand, mums can win a new football kit for their kid's team as well as a weeks place on an Official Soccer School course. The family can also win up to £500 worth of Beko household appliances.
