Playing at Wembley is something every player dreams of but this Sunday will see 17 girls get the opportunity to put on their boots and do just that. Teams representing Crystal Palace and Leicester City will go head to head at Wembley in the Final of The Football League's U13's Girls Cup, which is to take place on the famous pitch prior to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final between Carlisle United and Southampton.
The U13's Girls Cup is a six-a-side competition organised by the Football League Trust and club Community Departments. This year's competition attracted entries from more than 900 schools from across the country, with over 7,000 players taking part. Each club's Community Department hosts a local competition to produce a winning school to go forward to represent them in Area and Regional Finals.
Football League Trust General Manager Dave Edmundson said "We are totally committed to increasing the numbers of women and girls participating in football. The opportunity to play at Wembley is a massive incentive to get involved and play".
Having progressed through the qualifying rounds to reach the Final, Sunday sees Overton Grange School, representing Crystal Palace, taking on Beaumont Leys, representing Leicester City. For more details on the teams and their route to the Final click on the links below.
