Leicester City are already through to the third round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy following their penalty shootout win over Lincoln City and 30 other teams will be bidding to join them this week.

The Foxes switched their clash due to international call-ups, which is also the reason for Tranmere Rovers taking on Crewe Alexandra tonight.

With clubs invoking a 5-day rule ahead of the weekend's full international programme Rovers will have both Ian Goodison (Jamaica) and Edrisso Sonko (Gambia) available to play.

Bury and Stockport County go head to head in one of the picks of the Northern section, with top of League 2 playing League 1 new boys. Bury received a bye for the first round so this is their first appearance in the competition this season.

Chester City are another team who received a bye in the last round and they face a tricky home tie against Morecambe. Simon Davies had a horrendous start to the campaign, losing the opening four games in all competitions, conceding 16 goals along the way. But since their 5-1 home win over Barnet on August 30th City haven't looked back with only one defeat in their last six matches.

In the southern section, the tie of the round has to be Brighton & Hove Albion against Leyton Orient, with Micky Adams' side already proving to be a quality cup side. The Seagulls are through to Round 4 of the Carling Cup after knocking out Manchester City but Orient will provide very different opposition.
