Tranmere Rovers have been re-instated into this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy as a result of Accrington Stanley fielding a suspended player in the Northern Section first round tie between the two clubs.

This decision follows confirmation from Accrington that the club is now pleading guilty to the charge, and accepts that it should not be permitted to continue in the competition. Accrington have therefore agreed to withdraw from the Competition.

Tranmere Rovers will now play at home to Stockport County in the second round with the winner travelling to Bury in the Area Quarter Final.
