Northern Section Semi-Finals

Fleetwood Town v Rotherham United

Fleetwood Town, seventh in Sky Bet League 2, play host to Sky Bet League 1's sixth-placed team, Rotherham United.

The Cod Army are one of two teams in the last eight of the Trophy who have won three matches to reach the Area Semi-Finals, all coming against higher opposition as they impressively overcame Tranmere, Crewe and Carlisle in the previous rounds.

Fleetwood's 13 home games in all competitions this season have produced 47 goals - over 3.6 goals per match.

The Millers, winners of this competition back in 1996, were knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend by Rochdale, after going seven games unbeaten during November.

This will be the third meeting between these teams, after a draw and a Rotherham win in the league during the 2012/13 campaign.

Oldham Athletic v Chesterfield

Another Sky Bet League 1 versus Sky Bet League 2 match-up in the Area Semi-Finals sees Oldham Athletic entertain Chesterfield.

The Latics have got the better of Shrewsbury, Preston and Notts County to reach the last-eight. Lee Johnson's men have scored only nine goals from eight league outings at Boundary Park this campaign, but demolished County 5-1 in the last round.

Chesterfield, who won the competition in 2012 after beating Oldham in the Area Final, picked up wins against Mansfield and Rochdale to make the Area Semi-Finals this time around.

The Spireites have won five, drawn three and lost three on the road in all competitions so far, and sit second in the League 2 table, 12 places below their Tuesday evening opponents.

Southern Section Semi-Finals

Newport County v Peterborough Untied

Newport County, in their first Johnstone's Paint Trophy campaign, will test their formidable record at Rodney Parade against higher league opposition when Peterborough United visit South Wales.

The Exiles have only lost once at home this season - 3-2 to Morecambe back in September - and, since then, they have won their past seven in front of their own fans, scoring 17 and conceding just four.

Posh are fifth in League 1, 27 places above their opponents. Darren Ferguson has led his side to five wins, one draw and three losses on the road. That trio of defeats has come in their past three outings.

After receiving a bye in the First Round, Posh have overcome Brentford and Dagenham and Redbridge to reach the Area Semi-Finals. Newport also entered at the Second Round stage, and have triumphed against Crawley Town and Portsmouth to set up the tie with Peterborough.

This will be the first ever meeting between these two sides.

Swindon Town v Stevenage

Sky Bet League 1 clubs, Swindon Town and Stevenage, clash at the County Ground for a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Final.

2012 runners-up Swindon have got the better of Stevenage in their past four encounters, including a 1-0 win in the league back in August. Boro won the first ever encounter between the two, and that is their only victory in the five meetings.

Mark Cooper's team have won 10 of their 13 home fixtures this season, with defeats to Leyton Orient and Walsall in the league and a 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the Capital One Cup.

21st-placed Stevenage are the underdogs in terms of league position against the Robins, who sit in seventh, but they did knock-out high-flying Orient in the last round.

Graham Westley also led his team to victory over MK Dons to get this far, while the hosts have overcome Plymouth and Wycombe.
