The nominations are in for the Powerarde Player of the Month award for October and it's going to be another difficcult decision for the panel.
Ross McCormack has been in exceptional form for Cardiff this season with 12 goals to his name already. Four of those came during the month of October, including a both goals in the 2-0 win over Charlton. The Scot, who joined City from Motherwell in June, also scored the only goal in the 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest and the second goal in the 2-0 win over Blackpool.
Rob Hulse is another striker who had a big impact with four goals in five games, taking his tally for the season to five. The Derby County striker scored against Norwich, Plymouth, Coventry and Norwich again helping his side pick up an impressive 10 points from 15 available.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is having probably the season of his career, as his and Chris Iwelumo's goals have kept Wolverhampton Wanderers at the top of the Championship table. The former Manchester United youngster already has 10 for the season, four of which came last month. As well as scoring the winner against Coventry he scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Swansea to ensure his side ended October top of the league.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce has been a key factor in Barnsley's recent resurgence, with the midfielder scoring two and providing numerous chances for the Tykes strikers. The Jamaican international scored his first goal of the season in the 4-1 win over Doncaster before scoring what turned out to be the winner against Sheffield Wednesday.
In League 1 more strikers dominate the nominations with three fighting it out with a midfielder from Leeds.
Four goals from MK Dons striker Sam Baldock has helped Roberto Di Matteo's side up to fourth in the table. The former trainee has only started 12 league games but he has already bagged eight goals, including a brace in the 4-0 away win at Millwall. He also scored against Crewe and Cheltenham.
Rickie Lambert is currently the leading scorer in the country, his seven goals in October taking his tally to 15 for the season so far. The former Rochdale and Stockport front man had already scored against Colchester, Huddersfield and Oldham before he scored all four goals in Rovers' 4-2 win over Southend!
Joel Porter completes the striking trio with five goals to his name last month. The Hartlepool striker netted a hat trick as his side came from 3-0 down to draw with Swindon and a brace as they came from behind three times to beat Huddersfield 5-3.
Leeds midfielder Fabien Delph makes up the four nominations after he helped Leeds to wins over Brighton, Leyton Orient and Walsall. The former trainee also scored twice in the 3-0 win over the Saddlers, only his second and third senior goals.
Chris Zebroski had a great month for Wycombe Wanderers, with three goals which makes him the Chairboys leading scorer for the season so far. The youngster, signed for just £20,000 from Millwall scored against Bournemouth, Barnet and Accrington Stanley.
Chesterfield's Jamie Ward is another striker who has been in excellent form with seven goals in just six games, which took his tally for the season to 10. The former Aston Villa trainee scored against Morecambe and Chester before bagging a hat-trick in the 5-1 win over Aldershot and one in each of the wins over Notts County and Exeter.
Lincoln midfielder Lee Frecklington provides stiff competition for the strikers after he helped the Imps remain unbeaten in October. They picked up an impressive 13 points from the 15 available and as well as bossing the midfield Frecklington popped up with the winner against Macclesfield.
Jason Kennedy is the final nominee, the Darlington midfielder a key component in the Quakers reaching the top of the table. He has been an ever present this season, after signing permanently from Middlesbrough in the summer and helped his side pick up 14 points and chipped in with goals against Wycombe and Dagenham & Redbridge.
