There is another double header of Coca-Cola Championship action for you this weekend and on paper it looks like two crackers.

The first match comes from the Riverside Stadium on Sunday when Middlesbrough host high flying Cardiff City, at lunchtime.

Dave Jones' side have been in excellent form this season and have won 50% of their league matches so far. They go into Sunday's match on the back of excellent wins over Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion and at the time of writing sit third in the table but only four points ahead of Boro.

Gordon Strachan is still looking for his first home win since replacing Gareth Southgate and following their 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Blackpool on Tuesday night he will be looking for his side to bounce back.

The last time the two sides met was back in March 2008, in the FA Cup, when goals from Peter Whittingham and Roger Johnson earned the Welsh club an away win en route to the FA Cup Final.

The second match takes place on Monday night and sees West Brom host Queens Park Rangers, with both sides looking for an improvement on recent results.

The Baggies were held to a 2-2 draw at Derby County before losing to Cardiff, on Tuesday, while Rangers are without a win in their last four. Their recent run includes a 5-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough and away defeats at Doncaster Rovers and Watford.

The last time the two sides met at the Hawthorns, came back in September 2007 and on that occasion the home side ran out 5-1 winners with Kevin Phillips grabbing a brace.
