The goals have been coming thick and fast this season and plenty of players are already into double figures, so today we're taking a look at which players are enjoying a purple patch in front of goal.
Coca-Cola Championship
Peter Whittingham's strike from the penalty spot, against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, took him to the top of the scoring charts with 12, ahead of his Cardiff City team mate Michael Chopra.
Chopra has 11 league goals to his name so far and sits in second place, despite not scoring since September, when he bagged four goals in the 6-1 win over Derby County.
Crystal Palace's Darren Ambrose has also scored 11 times in the Championship so far, including seven in his last eight games, which saw him named
Coca-Cola Player of the Month for November.
Coca-Cola League 1
Rickie Lambert currently leads the League 1 scoring charts with 14 goals in 19 games, since his summer move from Bristol Rovers. His two goals in the last two games, against Wycombe Wanderers and Walsall have taken his tally for the season to 16 in all competitions.
Grant Holt is a close second on 13 after also settling in well after a summer move, when he joined Norwich City from Shrewsbury Town. A hat-trick in his second appearance against Yeovil Town got the ball rolling and he has scored regularly since, including five in his last four appearances, to take his total in all competitions to 19.
Coca-Cola League 2
In League 2 Adam Le Fondre has taken to life at Rotherham United like a duck to water, scoring 14 league goals in just 18 starts. The former Rochdale striker has scored seven goals in his last eight games, including three in two FA Cup appearances.
