The Football League magazine show, Late Kick Off, will return to BBC One for a second series in the New Year.

The programme is back from Monday, January 17th at the new time of 11.05pm making Monday nights 'access all areas' to the week's top news stories, backroom reports, interviews, discussion and match analysis.

More than just a highlights programme, it's the only Football League show that gets to grips with what the fans are talking about and what matters to them most.

The programme will follow all the ups and downs - both on and off the pitch - as the Football League season draws to its dramatic climax.

Controller of English Regions, David Holdsworth, said: "The second series of Late Kick Off is coming back stronger than ever.

"With all the latest goal action and high quality sports journalism, fans will get to see what is really going on behind the scenes at their local club."

The programme has a different version in each of seven regions around England allowing the focus to remain on the clubs local to that area, offering fans in-depth coverage and features that they can't get anywhere else.

The programme goes out in the North West; North East and Cumbria; Yorkshire and Lincs; West and East Midlands; the East; London and South East; and the combined South, West and South West regions.

Presenters of each regional show will continue to bring their own sporting expertise to the programme, while guests and pundits from the world of football promise to kick off some lively debates on the week's hottest topics.

Fans won't have to miss a thing as the programmes will also be on BBC iPlayer at

Late Kick Off complements the success of the network highlights programme The Football League Show along with live coverage of 10 League matches during the season and the Carling Cup semi-finals and final.

Along with action from the Premier League on Match Of The Day and BBC Radio 5live, the BBC provides sports fans with access to all the goals and all the action, the length and breadth of the country.
