Birmingham City and Derby County feature in The Football League's live television action again this weekend as they face Middlesbrough and Leicester City respectively.

The two Midlands clubs met last weekend live on Sky Sports and it was the Rams who came out on top, with a thrilling 3-2 victory at Pride Park.

The Blues followed up that loss with a 1-1 draw away to Blackpool on Tuesday night, and they will be happy to get back on home soil this time around for the meeting with high-flying Boro in a 7.45pm kick-off on Friday.

Lee Clark's men, who sit 19th, are winless in four matches and will do well to beat Middlesbrough, who could move up to the top of the table if they win by four goals. Tony Mowbray's men are coming into the game having returned to winning ways in midweek - beating Huddersfield Town 3-0 - following successive defeats.

Historically, there's not a lot separating these two, with Birmingham winning 36 meetings, Middlesbrough taking 30, and 28 ending level.

Expect goals, though, and plenty of them; the last three fixtures involving these two sides have involved three or more goals.

At 5.20pm on Saturday it's the turn of the Rams and the Foxes, and they lock horns at the King Power Stadium.

Following last weekend's win against Birmingham, Derby collected a valuable point against leaders Cardiff City in midweek.

Leicester, meanwhile, lost 1-0 on Tuesday to Leeds United and will be eager to get back on the winning trail in this meeting.

Nigel Pearson's men are strong at home, too, so will be confident of doing so. They have triumphed in seven of their nine home matches this season, and have conceded just 6 goals during that period.

They also have a very good record over Derby in recent years, winning all of the last four clashes. Historically, though, the Rams have more victories - 41 - compared to Leicester's 28.
