First up, on Saturday, Charlton Athletic welcome South London rivals Millwall to The Valley.

The Addicks go into the 12:15pm kick-off having lost 2-1 against Huddersfield Town last time out, which extended their one-win start to the season. Steve Lomas' side picked up their first three-point haul of the campaign on Tuesday night, beating Blackpool 3-1 despite going behind inside the opening 20 minutes.

Millwall have had the upper hand in previous meetings between the sides with 32 wins to their name compared to Charlton's 11, while 23 have ended level.

On Monday, two other London clubs clash as Leyton Orient make the trip across the capital to meet Brentford in a 7:45pm start.

The O's will be jubilant ahead of the fixture having thumped Notts County 5-1 on Tuesday night to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season. Uwe Rosler's men also triumphed in their last outing with a dramatic 4-3 win over Tranmere Rovers.

A day later, the Capital One Cup takes centre stage as League 1 outfit Swindon Town host Premier League Chelsea.

It will be the Blues' first involvement in the competition since bowing out at the semi-final stage last year, losing 2-0 over two legs to eventual-winners Swansea City. To earn their tie with Jose Mourinho's side, the Robins overcame Torquay United 1-0 in the opening round before getting the better of Championship side Queens Park Rangers in Round 2.

The Sky Sports camera then make the journey north for Manchester United's match with fierce rivals Liverpool.

Both clubs have a rich history in the competition, with Liverpool lifting the trophy on eight occasions to United's four.

Wednesday's match will be David Moyes' side's first involvement in this season's Capital One Cup but Liverpool saw off the challenge of Notts County in Round 2, winning 4-2 after extra time to set up the eagerly anticipated tie with their rivals.
