There's a Sky Bet League 1 clash live on Sky Sports on Friday night, before the Capital One Cup returns next week with the semi-final first legs.
High-flying Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have drawn three of their last four, take on 17th-placed Gillingham in the League 1 clash, with kick-off at 7:45pm.
Wolves shared the points with Rotherham United, Leyton Orient and, most recently, Tranmere Rovers, to leave them three adrift of leaders Brentford.
Gillingham overcame Tranmere just before Christmas before losing to Leyton Orient on Boxing Day and drawing with Walsall in their final game of 2013, to sit just two points above the bottom four.
In the first meeting between these two this season Wolves were convincing 4-0 winners. That was their seventh success against the Gills, who have got the better of Wolves on five occasions, with the other two meetings ending level.
Then on Tuesday at 7:45pm, Sunderland and Manchester United lock horns at the Stadium of Light, followed 24 hours later by Manchester City against West Ham United at the Etihad.
The Black Cats sit at the foot of the Premier League table but defied the odds to dramatically see off Chelsea 2-1 in the quarter-finals, to set up their tie with United, who come into the Cup clash following a 2-1 home defeat to Swansea City in the FA Cup.
West Ham are one point and one place above Sunderland in the table and, like United, also lost in the FA Cup at the weekend, against Nottingham Forest. They were defeated 3-1 by Man City when the pair met in the Premier League in October, and that extended their winless run against the second-placed side to seven matches, stretching back to March 2009.
Manuel Pellegrini's men were 3-1 victors against Leicester City in the quarter-finals and have won all four of their league games since. The Citizens have been victorious in 13 of their 14 home matches this season, their one defeat coming against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
