This weekend's televised Sky Bet Football League action features two Lancashire derbies with the first on Friday night at the JD Stadium, where Bury take on rivals Rochdale.

Dale make the short trip knowing that a victory would see them go top of the Sky Bet League 2 table. Keith Hill's men are third, two points off the top, and are unbeaten in five.

Bury lost 2-1 at Cheltenham Town last Saturday - their first defeat in seven matches - and their upturn in form has seen them move up to 17th, six points clear of the relegation zone.

This will be the 58th meeting between these two Greater Manchester clubs, separated by under six miles, with Bury having the upper-hand.

The Shakers have won 24 encounters compared to Dale's 14, but Friday night's visitors did win 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season and are now unbeaten in their previous four meetings.

On Sunday, the Sky Sports cameras remain in the North West for another Lancashire derby, this time from the Sky Bet Championship with Blackburn Rovers hosting Burnley in a 12:30pm kick-off.

Rovers' hopes of making the Play-Offs were dealt a blow last weekend when they were beaten 4-0 at Bolton Wanderers. That left Gary Bowyer's team 10th and trailing the top six by six points.

Second-placed Burnley are unbeaten in 11 league outings and before the weekend were five points clear of Derby County in third.

The past three encounters between these two have finished 1-1. Rovers are now unbeaten in 11 clashes; the Clarets were last victors in April 1979.
