This weekend's Football League matches to take place live in front of the Sky Sports cameras both come from the Sky Bet Championship.

First up, it's Leicester City at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night at the King Power Stadium, where victory for the Foxes will see them move within one win of securing a return to the Premier League.

However, Nigel Pearson's side could even be celebrating promotion this weekend, should they beat the Owls on Friday and Queens Park Rangers lose and Derby County fail to win on Saturday.

Leicester are unbeaten in 20 games and have scored at least once in their past 27 outings. The last time they failed to find the net was in a 2-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on 9th November, and that remains their only home loss this season, winning 14 and drawing four.

Wednesday have lost their past three on the road without scoring - at Yeovil Town, Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers. Thanks to their good recent home form though, Stuart Gray's team remain comfortably above the drop - 14th, 13 points clear. This fixture last season ended 1-0 to the visiting Owls, who also won their earlier encounter in this campaign, 2-1 at Hillsborough.

Then, on Saturday lunchtime, attention is diverted to the DW Stadium where promotion-chasing Wigan Athletic host a faltering Leeds United.

The Whites have lost six of their past seven in the Championship, letting in 18 goals during those defeats. As a result they have slipped to 15th - only the three teams in the relegation zone have conceded more often.

Wigan are winless in three matches, but have lost just once in 10, after being pegged back twice by leaders Leicester on Tuesday night. That was a second successive draw for the Latics, who are fifth and six points ahead of the Play-Off chasers.

This will be just the seventh meeting in their history, with both teams winning twice alongside two draws.
