The first Sky Bet Football League matches of the 2014/15 season to be shown live on Sky Sports have been revealed, with the biggest ever feast of televised football to whet the appetite.

Blackburn Rovers against Cardiff City will kick-off the new season at Ewood Park with a televised tie in Lancashire. The Sky Bet Championship fixture gets under way at 7:45pm on Friday 8th August, pitting one of last season's relegated clubs from the Premier League, Cardiff, against Rovers who finished just outside of the Sky Bet Play-Offs in May.

Attention turns to Sky Bet League 1 on Saturday 9th August when Sheffield United and Bristol City contest a lunchtime match at 12:15pm at the world's oldest professional football ground, Bramall Lane. Both teams struggled during the first half of last season before coming strong to finish seventh and 12th respectively.

Then, after the 3pm kick-offs have finished, the third televised game of the weekend begins when Ipswich Town and Fulham meet at Portman Road at 5:15pm. Fulham will be competing in the Sky Bet Championship for the first time since 2000/01, a season in which they won promotion as champions.

If three matches in 24 hours isn't enough, the televised Sky Sports action doesn't stop there. On Sunday 10th August at 4:00pm, the third and final relegated club from the Premier League will step out in front of the cameras with Norwich City travelling to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves were two divisions below the Canaries last season, but coupled with Norwich's plight they won the Sky Bet League 1 title to make an immediate return to the second tier.

These are just four of up to 90 live Football League games to be shown on Sky Sports HD this season, including the Play-Off Semi-Finals and Finals across all three divisions in May 2015. All matches can be watched on TV through Sky Sports HD or online and on mobile devices thanks to Sky Go.
