Roberto Di Matteo believes he is starting to make his presence felt at MK Dons.
The ex-Chelsea and Italy international midfielder Di Matteo is still finding his feet in his first job as a boss.
But he is delighted to scoop the Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month award for November.
MK Dons have hit the ground running in their first season back in League 1.
And despite still wearing managerial 'L' plates, Di Matteo has steered them to second in the table. He took over from Paul Ince in the summer.
Dons picked up four wins out of five last month, and have scored three goals in each of their last three outings.
Di Matteo insists there is plenty more to come from his players as they look for a second promotion on the spin.
He said: "It was a great month and there are a few factors which explain how we managed it.
"The main ones are that the team has hit form, and we have now been in charge of the side for a few months and have been able to spend time with them and get to know them.
"We are not getting carried away by the start we have had. It is a building process day by day. Also, the past is forgotten.
"We are very pleased with the way things are shaping up. I inherited a very good squad of players who are very professional.
"There is a long way to go, but it is nice to have this award."
Dons came up after securing automatic promotion with a 1-0 win at Stockport County three games before the end of the season.
Chairman of the judging panel Chris Kamara said:
"It has been a fairytale start to life at MK Dons for Roberto Di Matteo. Although he played at the highest level he had been out of the game for five years prior to his appointment and many thought it might take him a while to find his feet in management.
"But Roberto has proved his doubters wrong by keeping the club moving forward brilliantly and their results this month have demonstrated that MK Dons are going to be serious contenders for the League 1 title this season."
