Micky Adams has left Brighton & Hove Albion, following their Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Final defeat by Luton.

The penalty shootout loss was the final straw as Adams and the Brighton board mutually agreed to part company after less than a year.

Adams took charge at the Withdean in May, following the departure of Dean Wilkins but the former Coventry and Leicester boss has only seen his side win nine of his 40 games in charge.

Brighton currently occupy the final relegation place in League 1 and have won just one of their last eight games.

Dean White and Bob Booker will take temporary charge of the team starting against Millwall this afternoon.
