Stevenage goalkeeper Chris Day has been named as November's winner of the Football League Precision Goalkeeping Golden Glove of the month Award.

Day, who joined Stevenage in the 2008/09 season, kept three clean sheets from four games in November conceding just one goal against Sheffield United in the Boro's 2-1 win.

The former Crystal Palace, Watford and Queens Park Rangers keeper has helped Stevenage to back to back promotions and his form in November helped the Boro to an unbeaten month with two wins and two draws.

Day received the award from Precision Goalkeeping National Sales Manager Dave Sanderson and commented: "November was a good month and on the back of a four match losing streak it was good to get back to winning ways and we did so in style against some big clubs.

"We work very hard on our defence as a team - right from the front all the way to the and the back four lads deserve a lot of credit for this award

"It is great to be recognised and I am delighted to have won it."

The Precision Goalkeeping Golden Glove award will be presented each month to the Football League goalkeeper that has kept the most clean sheets in all competitions.

There will also be an annual award in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 for the keeper that has kept the most clean sheets throughout the season in all competitions.
