Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Teams of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.
Three teams have three players in this week's npower League 1 Team of the Week.
In goal the experienced Steve Simonsen gets the nod after a clean sheet for Sheffield United in their 3-0 win at Bury which keeps the Blades hot on the heels of Charlton Athletic. In a fine team performance Simonsen is joined by midfielder Stephen Quinn and goalscorer Richard Cresswell who finished the game off with the third goal at Gigg Lane.
Meanwhile Charlton centre-back Matthew Taylor played a starring role as his side beat the other Sheffield side, Wednesday, 1-0 at Hillsborough. It was Wednesday's first home defeat of the season and goalscorer Johnnie Jackson joins Taylor and fellow midfielder Danny Hollands in the Team of the Week.
Stevenage began life after Graham Westley with an impressive 5-1 win at Rochdale. Captain Mark Roberts took charge of the team and must think life as a manager is easy as his side romped home. Right-back Ronnie Henry and right sided midfielder Lawrie Wilson have been part of the team since their Conference days while new arrival Luke Freeman from Arsenal matched Wilson in scoring twice.
It was a much tighter encounter at Brentford where defender Leon Legge helped his side to a hard fought point against Walsall while the side is completed by left-back John White who turned in another excellent performance for Colchester United as they drew 1-1 with Scunthorpe United.
