Jon Taylor is facing an uphill battle to be fit for Shrewsbury's home clash against Scunthorpe on Saturday.

The winger missed last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Notts County with a knee injury and has still not returned to training, although manager Graham Turner does have plenty of other options as he considers making a couple of changes.

"Jon's still not back in training and has still got a knee problem. Another two or three days and he should be back," Turner told Town's official website.

"We hope Tom Bradshaw returns from international duty okay and Michael Hector is back in full training and looking okay so I've got one or two options.

"Whether I freshen the side up for this weekend remains to be seen but I have got options."

Turner added: "Everything's open for consideration this week. I'm not saying there are going to be wholesale changes or anything like that because I've never been one for that. But one or two players who have been doing well in training certainly deserve consideration."
