Bournemouth have revealed former England goalkeeper David James is training with the club.

The 42-year-old, who has accrued 53 international caps, is a free agent following his release from Bristol City last season.

Manager Paul Groves is looking to shore up a porous defence as only basement dwellers Bury have conceded more goals than the Cherries in npower League One. During his career James has worked with both Groves and Harry Redknapp, who holds an advisory role with Bournemouth.
