Carlisle boss Greg Abbott admitted he is aware of the threat Oldham carry when they visit Brunton Park on Tuesday night.

Paul Dickov's side suffered an indifferent start to the campaign, but the Cumbrians' chief believes they have turned a corner.

"This will be a tough one because Oldham have been on a good run recently," he told the club's official website.

"Paul will be pleased because they had a difficult start to the season and they've turned that round. Their run this month has taken them up the table and they'll want that to continue.

"The positives from our last few games have been the way we have played and the way we have battled. We have produced some really good football at times and we want to keep that going.

"The home results are obviously important to us because we want to get it right in front of our own fans. We have had runs in the past where we have gone unbeaten at Brunton Park and we want to do that again."
