Brentford boss Uwe Rosler wants to secure the futures of five of his key players, following goalkeeper Simon Moore putting pen to paper on a new three-year contract at Griffin Park.

Richard Lee, Toumani Diagouraga, Jonathan Douglas, Shaleum Logan and Harry Forrester are all entering the final 12 months of their contacts and Rosler is hopeful they'll follow the lead of Moore.

"We took a very important step to secure Simon Moore - now we will speak to the other players who have been stable performers for us," he told the Hounslow Chronicle.

"This is a squad who we have built over 18 months. We have players of a good age group who will get better the longer they play together.

"But we will not do it at any price. Our budget hasn't changed over the past three seasons and it won't next year either if we're in League One.

"Thanks to the stability of the owner, we're in a position where we can speak to players earlier and it's important our assets are secured."
