Portsmouth have signed Peterborough winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on a one-month loan deal.

Mendez-Laing was one of four players fined and transfer-listed by Posh this week for a breach of club discipline.

The 20-year-old, who only moved to London Road in the summer from npower Championship rivals Wolves, along with Gabby Zakuani, who has since been removed from the transfer list, Tyrone Barnett and Emile Sinclair were all disciplined on Monday after an internal inquiry into an incident that took place in Peterborough city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mendez-Laing has been told by Posh boss Darren Ferguson that he has no future at the club.

"He's already gone," said Ferguson at his pre-match press conference on Thursday ahead of the weekend fixture against Blackburn. "He's gone to Portsmouth."
