Tranmere have signed West Brom's Donervorn Daniels on a short-term loan deal.

The defender, 18, has joined the npower League One leaders until January and adds cover to the Rovers backline.

Manager Ronnie Moore said: "I'm pleased to be able to bring Donervorn to the club.

"With Mark McChrystal going to Scunthorpe to gain match fitness and Ben Gibson able to be called back by Middlesbrough at any time, we were short at the back so Donervorn will add to our options.

"He's only young but he's done well in West Brom's Under-21 side. He's big and strong and I look forward to working with him."

The youngster joined West Brom from Reading in 2009 and has become a regular in the Baggies' Under-21 side.
