Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson will not rush injured Dave Kitson back to action.
Kitson has scored three goals in nine appearances for the Blades, but has been absent since October 23 with a hamstring problem.
The 32-year-old former Reading striker has missed the last six league games, in which time Wilson's men have dropped 10 points, but his manager will wait until he has completed a full recovery.
Wilson told the Sheffield Star: "We can't take any risks with Dave because it's one of those injuries that is hard to judge.
"The players, especially when they are experienced, know better than anyone.
"You ultimately go with what they say because they know better than anyone."
