The nominations for the npower League 1 Player of the Month award for January have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Wes Foderingham (Swindon Town)
The stopper conceded just one goal in January. He saved a spot-kick against Shrewsbury Town, though, while superb reaction stops against Bournemouth and Leyton Orient preserved valuable points as the Robins went through the month unbeaten.

Rob Jones (Doncaster Rovers)
There were more sterling performances from the veteran in January, who is now a player-coach at Doncaster Rovers. As well as being his usual commanding self at the back, he contributed to an unbeaten month with two goals, including a vital last-minute winner at Stevenage.

Paddy Madden (Yeovil Town)
It was an outstanding contribution from the Irishman to Yeovil Town's perfect month, scoring six of his side's seven goals in just three matches. His stamina and desire to chase down lost causes was as pivotal as his predatory instincts in front of goal.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News, from 9am.
