Bristol City winger Albert Adomah has submitted a written transfer request.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Ashton Gate following relegation to the third tier.

But a club statement issued on Thursday afternoon confirmed that the Robins' will not let one of their prized assets leave unless their asking price is met.

"As far as the club is concerned its position remains unchanged," a club statement said. "As with any player, until an acceptable offer is received he will remain a Bristol City player.

"The club will be making no further comment at this time."

The Ghana international, who is under contract for the 2013/14 campaign, has been with City since he joined from Barnet in 2010.

He made 41 appearances last season, scoring seven times, but could not stop Sean O'Driscoll's men from being relegated.
