Swindon have completed the signing of Egyptian striker Mohammed El Gabas after a successful trial spell.
The forward has signed a deal until January 1, with a further option of 18 months.
"It's a nice town, it's a family club where everyone knows each other," he told the club's official website.
"I've heard about the club's history before I came. They're trying to get to the Championship - this is a good ambition and I hope I can help them."
El Gabas began his career in Egypt with Port Said and spent a spell with Newcastle's academy before returning to Egypt after work-permit problems.
He then went on to spend four years with Lierse in Belgium before joining up with the League One side.
