Leyton Orient striker David Mooney has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for September.
Mooney has scored four goals in as many games to help maintain Orient's stunning start to the season. The front man scored two against Port Vale, the first of which was a well-timed volley.
Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade said: "I'm very pleased for David to get the award and the recognition he deserves.
"He's one of a number of players who has started well for us this season. His nine goals have really capped off some excellent performances."
Sky Bet Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "David Mooney has been in prolific form in front of goal this term.
"Nine goals from 12 games is a great return at any level.
"It's great to see David has found a new lease of life at Orient and he's struck up a formidable partnership with Kevin Lisbie which has seen Orient off to an amazing start this season."
Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: "David has been in devastating form this month.
"His ice-cool spot-kick opener away to Brentford proved vital for the O's continued fine form."
