Swindon defender Troy Archibald-Henville has undergone a knee operation and will spend a prolonged period on the sidelines.

The former Tottenham centre-back has played just eight times for the Robins since joining from Exeter in June 2012 and had his recent loan spell at Carlisle cut short.

Since returning to The County Ground he has gone under the knife and manager Mark Cooper does not expect the powerful defender to be in his plans for a while.

"Troy's had an operation on his knee so he's not going to be in our thinking for the foreseeable future," he told the Swindon Advertiser.
