Tuesday 26th November

Wolverhampton Wanderers moved top of Sky Bet League 1 with a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday evening.

First-half goals from Leigh Griffiths and Dave Edwards were enough to seal a result which takes Kenny Jackett's side above Leyton Orient, who drew 2-2 away to Bristol City.

Orient led twice, through David Mooney (23) and Dean Cox (70), but the Robins equalised through first Sam Baldock (58) and then an own goal from Scott Cuthbert three minutes after Cox's strike.

Joe Garner's brace earned Preston North End a 2-0 win at Port Vale, despite the early dismissal of Neil Kilkenny. The result saw North End go third as both they and Brentford leap-frogged Peterborough United.

Posh led 2-1 at Brentford, Jack Payne and Britt Assombalonga scoring within a minute of each other to overhaul Gabriel Zakuani's own goal, but goals in the final 10 minutes from George Saville and Clayton Donaldson earned the Bees a 3-2 win.

Bradford City occupy the final Play-Off place after a 1-1 draw with Notts County, substitute Mark Yeates with their equaliser after Gary Liddle put County in front. The Magpies had Marcus Haber sent off late on.

Rotherham United's 3-0 win at Coventry City took them level on points with the Bantams. All the goals came in the second half through Nouha Dicko, Alex Revell and a Kieron Agard penalty.

At the other end of the table, Crewe Alexandra remain second from bottom after a 2-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Carlisle United.

The Cumbrians broke through at the end of the first half, David Symington scoring in the 45th minute before Matt Robson struck in stoppage time. Crewe's response did not come until second-half injury time, through Harry Davis' header.

The other three teams in the drop zone all drew as Sheffield United matched Notts County and Bristol City's results.

The Blades led through Chris Porter's penalty in first-half stoppage time but were pegged back by Craig Westcarr's header two minutes into the second period.

Colchester United enjoyed an impressive 3-1 win over Milton Keynes Dons. Craig Eastmond and Jabo Ibehre struck in the first half and, after Jordan Spence pulled a goal back, substitute Macauley Bonne rounded off Colchester's win.

Gillingham prevailed 3-2 in a topsy-turvy clash with Stevenage. Boro led through Simon Heslop but Danny Kedwell's penalty and a Donervorn Daniels strike put the home side ahead.

Francois Zoko levelled but John Mousinho earned victory for the Gills.

Oldham Athletic came from behind to win 2-1 at Shrewsbury Town. Gozie Ugwu opened the scoring but Charlie MacDonald and Danny Philliskirk turned the game around.

Crawley Town drew 0-0 with Swindon Town, who had Nathan Byrne sent off three minutes from time.
