Leyton Orient's Sky Bet League One clash with Bristol City at the Matchroom Stadium on New Year's Day has been postponed due to structural damage to the stadium.

The adverse weather conditions over the festive period has left the floodlights requiring re pair work.

Robins manager Steve Cotterill said: "I'm really disappointed that the game has been called off.

"We're in good form and, on the back of the recent successes at Ashton Gate, everyone was looking forward to the match.

"The postponement is a major disappointment for everyone at the club, including our supporters who were planning on making the trip."

No new fixture has yet been arranged.
