Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month for January.
Slade made astute transfer window signings to cover injuries in his squad and fitted in the new arrivals seamlessly.
Orient picked up a maximum 12 points from four matches, conceding just a solitary goal in the process.
Dave Bassett, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: "Leyton Orient's fine form in Sky Bet League 1 continued in January, recording four wins from four.
"What was particularly notable was that Slade's men scored 10 and conceded just once, to sustain their promotion push."
Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "Everyone keeps waiting for Leyton Orient to fall off the hot pace being set at the top of Sky Bet League 1.
"But four victories in the month were enough to keep them on the heels of an in-form Brentford."
Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: "Russell Slade was busy at the end of January in securing three players to longer term loans and also bringing Ben Alnwick back to the club after his previous spell in 2011.
"With the strong nucleus of the squad staying fit the O's can hopefully maintain their position at the sharp end of the season."
