Tranmere Rovers have confirmed that both midfielder Andy Robinson and striker Akpo Sodje have left the club.

Robinson, 34, has spent four spells at Prenton Park and has accumulated over 100 appearances for the club. However, despite scoring in each of the club's first two games this season, he has started just one game since January and has departed on mutual terms.

"Andy has been a fantastic player for the club," football operations director Mick Horton told the Sky Bet League One club's official website. "We wish him all the best ."

Meanwhile, Sodje has been released after not playing for Tranmere since November. The forward has been on loan with non-league Macclesfield recently.
