Shrewsbury Town were relegated to Sky Bet League 2 as they lost 4-2 at home to Peterborough United, who booked their place in the League 1 Play-Offs.

An early goal from Jon Taylor (6) had given the Shrews hope, but they were soon ended following a brace from Conor Washington (13 & 21) and Lloyd Isgrove (28).

Tom Bradshaw (45) pulled one back before Posh forward Britt Assombolanga missed a penalty and Josh McQuoid eventually did make it four in stoppage time.

Crewe Alexandra kept themselves a point out of the relegation zone after battling to a goalless draw at Bristol City.

Carlisle United, though, are in deep trouble, four points adrift with two matches left, after they lost 1-0 at home to Oldham Athletic, after a second-half goal from substitute James Dayton (70).

Tranmere Rovers are in the bottom four after they lost 2-0 at Play-Off hopefuls Leyton Orient, with goals from Kevin Lisbie (44) and Chris Dagnall (77).

Notts County, though, are out of the relegation zone after a 2-0 home win over nine-man Swindon Town.

Alan Sheehan (9) and Callum McGregor (90) were on target for County, as Troy Archibald-Henville and Nathan Thompson were sent off for the visitors.

Coventry City held champions Wolverhampton Wanderers to a 1-1 draw to secure League 1 football.

Stevenage, already relegated, recorded their first victory in 11 games with a 3-2 home win over Walsall with a late winner from Luke Freeman.

Bradford City beat Crawley Town 2-1, with both sides safe in mid-table.

Aaron Mclean (49) had fired City in front, but a lob from substitute Jamie Proctor (65) levelled for Crawley before a late header from Garry Thompson (85) won it.
